Chris is a graduate from the University of Colorado with a degree in Quantum Fluid Thermodynamics. He has been working in the industry for over 18 years - the majority of which have been with the Owner Tom Perkins - logging more than 150,000 sea miles sailing around the world. For six years he Captained the famous Herreshoff schooner Mariette, leading his crew to win many of the Classic Yacht regattas both in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

Since October of 2002 he has been involved with the development of the revolutionary Dyna Rig and the build of the Maltese Falcon in Turkish based Perini/Yildiz yard in Tuzla.

Chris offers exceptionally high standards of excellence with a clear understanding of the commitment and dedication involved in operating the highest quality of yachts. With his dynamic and outgoing personality, and passion for adventure, he’ll go beyond fulfilling your charter expectations. Chris is conversational in German, French, familiar with Italian and Turkish. He is also an avid sailor, skier, snowboarder, mountain biker, windsurfer, scuba diver, traveller, and has played many years of tennis.

Robert Bell ROBERT BELL

Robert has been working in the Super Yacht industry since completing his University Degree in Economics. He started as a deckhand and worked his way up to Captain of Condor of Bermuda - an 80 foot sloop for seven years - before he took a position as 2nd officer on board the 303 ft Motor Yacht Tatoosh. During his 3 years on Tatoosh he also spent 18 months as the on board Computer Technician. Robert has cruised much of the world, including the Caribbean, Alaska, Pacific, Micronesia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Returning to his first passion, sailing, Robert joined the Maltese Falcon in November 2005, he is therefore very familiar with her systems especially those relating to her innovative sailing design.

Robert has a Class IV Masters Ticket and is a qualified diver, in his spare time you could find him either playing with new gadgets, roller blading , reading or watching movies.

Tim Attard TIMMY ATTARD

Timmy has been working in the Super Yacht industry since 1996. He started as a deckhand and worked his way up to Captain on a new 80 ft build before taking up the position as 2nd Officer aboard the Falcon. Timmy was born and raised in Malta where his passion for sailing started at a young age. Joining the national dinghy team and later on competing in several International offshore races such as the Mini Transat circuit and the Rolex Middle sea race, Timmy has so far logged over 65,000 sea miles. He has extensive charter experience having worked on several busy charter sailing yachts such as Sea Shuttle, Zingaro, Sariyah and Mustang. Timmy enjoys a good plate of pasta, loves underwater photography and is a very keen kite surfer.

With his ability to hang upside down and natural flair for heights, Christian is the boat's rig-extraordinaire.. With a passion for sailing and the ocean he has worked on vessels from previous centuries – on HMS Endeavor a sail training ship- through to the ultra modern. He has been sailing for 10 years, joined the industry 4 years ago and has racked up 50,000 sea miles on yachts such as Mariette, Aquarius, Brindabella and Ipixuna.

Christian is equally at home under the water – a very experienced diver, as he is on the side of a mountain. He recently summited Dennali in Alaska – America’s highest mountain.

Larim has been working in this industry for over 18 years on yachts, competing in several regattas throughout Europe . He worked for 6 years onboard SY Mariette, most often seen in the rigging. Larim is more than happy to share his knowledge, teach you splices, and even whip you up a Turks head.

Ed is a new comer to the yachting industry, having sailed and raced J 24's and Windrush catamarans in Australia since a young age, and joined The Maltese Falcon in Antigua prior to the start of her 2008 Pacific tour.

In his other life, Ed works as a freelance photojournalist and is also a keen rockclimber, back-country skier, surfer and snowboarder. Ed loves to travel as much as possible, and in the last few years has photographed and climbed in Iran, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Burma, Cambodia, the UK, Spain, France and across the German, Swiss and Austrian alps.

Sean Truscott SEAN TRUSCOTT

Sean started work in engineering in the diamond mining industry. Working through De Beers geology he built, ran and managed equipment in remote operations through Southern Africa and Central Brazil.  Leaving the mining industry in search of new adventure, Sean took to yachting in 1999 where he continued in engineering and has traveled around the globe a few times. Water sports, nature and photography are a few of Sean's varied interests.

Tim started working as an engineer when he left school. He started off as a car mechanic before studying general engineering then electronic engineering. He then worked in IT for a few years before working on boats. He enjoys boats the most as they encompass such a variety of systems and challenges. When he is not working Tim enjoys cycling, snowboarding and yoga.

Jean-Charles Ladreyt JEAN-CHARLES LADREYT

A professional chef for the past 13 years, Jean-Charles worked as a chef across Europe and the French Côte d’Azur, including the Carlton in Cannes, before transporting his talents to superyachts in 2003. Quickly coming to acclaim in the yachting world, in 2004 “JC” was a winner in the the Motor Yacht Division of the “Concourse de Chef” Competition at the 42nd Annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show. Jean-Charles came to The Maltese Falcon in 2008 after working on yachts such as S/Y Andromeda la Dea and M/Y Sea Jewel.

According to JC,  “one of my favourite parts of the job is when guests come into the galley during the day to chat about the food that they are looking forward to that evening. It gives me a chance to discover their likes and dislikes – not just in general, but what they have a taste for that very day.” 

Jean-Charles holds a wide culinary repetoire, including Sushi, Sashimi, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, French, American, vegetarian, Indian, Italian,Vietnamese, Caribbean, Moroccan and Tibetan cusine all as specialties, and is ever searching for new inspiration for his art.

Jennel Tiller JENNEL TILLER

Jennel grew up on the coast of southern Virginia where sailing and the water were a big part of her life.  After college, the sea was still calling, so she packed her sea bag, flew to Antigua, and has been cooking and sailing since.  Jennel has been in the yachting industry for the past eleven years, cooking and cruising the East Coast of the US, Mediterranean, and the Caribbean on S/Y Lola and S/Y Dance Smartly before joining The Maltese Falcon in January 2008. 

She graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City with Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management diplomas and has worked in restaurants in Antigua and NYC.  Jennel feels fortunate to have found a career that can combine her love of cooking, sailing, travel, and the ocean!

Bec graduated from the Blue Mountains International Hotel School in Australia. Longing to combine travel and work she’s been employed in several 5 star hotels throughout the world. It was on her travels she discovered yachting and joined MV Tatoosh, where she worked for 4 years- the last two as Chief Stewardess. Previous to joining the Maltese Falcon, Bec was an Event Co-ordinator for an Auckland based catering company organising large parties, and weddings. She enjoys wine, yoga and salsa dancing.

Liz started in the hospitality industry at the age of 15 in restaurants, hotels and catering companies. She took this wealth of experience to MV Tatoosh where she accumulated 40,000 sea miles in just over a year. She brings to our interior team a whole range of organisational and people management skills. Out of work time Liz enjoys cooking, water sports and seeing the world.

Zoe has a sense of adventure and a love of the great outdoors; having spent a couple of seasons snowboarding in the French Alps and Breckenridge she decided to join the yachting industry and continue her explorations by sea. The last four years have taken her across the Pacific accruing sea miles and an abundance of experience in hospitality and service. Her other interests include skiing, diving, horse riding, dancing and of course, travelling.

Cleonie Greenall CLEONIE GREENALL

Cleonie has been with the Falcon since December of 2006 and has become a valued member of the team in her time on board.  Although relatively new to the yachting industry Cleonie brings a great deal of experience to the job with three years running chalets in the ski fields of Meribel in the French Alps and another two seasons running a large villa in the South of France and Portugal.

Cleonie loves the sea and has taken the time to gain her Yacht Master Certificate, so now she is well placed to enjoy two of her favourite things in life - traveling and the sea! She also enjoys skiing, cooking and shopping!

Nina Melck NINA MELCK

Nina began her journey into the adventurous world of yachting when she crossed the Atlantic on a 40ft catamaran from Cape Town to St. Maarten in 2005.  With a diploma in cooking from the Institute of Culinary Arts in Cape Town, Nina quickly launched her career as a chef working on such yachts as Lethantia and Atlantide before joining the Falcon in January, 2007.  Nina now works on the MF as a stewardess and relief chef.  Nina’s vivacious, farm girl personality has made her an adored member of the crew, especially because of her enthusiasm for trying new and sometimes disgusting foods.  In her spare time, Nina enjoys reading, horseback riding and fashion.

Alicia Walters ALICIA WALTERS

Alicia was born in England, spent most of her childhood in Canada, and has been living in places such as Peru, Chili, Argentina, Italy and lastly in Antigua. She has a degree in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Calgary, Canada. While at school she was an exceptional athlete playing scrumhalf for the girl’s rugby team and field hockey. Alicia has been racing J24’s for 6 years and that’s where she discovered her passion for sailing. While in Antigua she worked at the world famous yachting bar, “Skullduggery” and learnt to make the infamous “Espresso Martini’s!”  She joined MF in April 2007 and has since added her own twist to our diverse crew.

Andre Rossignaud ANDRE ROSSIGNAUD

Andre was raised in Malta, where he quickly developed a passion for sailing. Starting his career as a R.Y.A. Dinghy Instructor, he soon moved onto keel boats and superyachts. Before joining The Maltese Faclon, Andre worked on a variety of yachts including M/Y PARI, S/Y Creightons, and S/Y Tosca 3.

On the Falcon Andre works both on deck and aloft in the revolutionary Dynarig.

Over the past four years Andre dedicated his time to running a semi-pro 40 foot racing yacht. Andre holds a Yachtmaster Offshore qualification, and while racing he loves to work on the bow. Outside of his yachting achievements, Andre is a graudate of a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Malta.

Andre will be more than happy to take you out for a spin in one of our lasers or spend some time teaching you how to sail.
